Games press are retarded. Publishers know this. So they create little cheat sheets for their articles. They usually take the form of a couple paragraphs, quotes, screenshots, and a bulleted list of facts to mention in coverage

The horse testicle thing was one such bullet, and part of a shorthand that simply meant "we care about such small details this includes horse balls"

And it has its desired effect. People loved the horse balls, or they hated them, or they wanted to do their best performative "can you even believe it" schitick like the black host of Family Fried

It was probably a small side project, no more than 20 hours total. And the advertising it brought Rockstar generated more money than every single person to ever visit this website will make in their lifetimes combined

This feature would have been cool if you played a woman at some point and could suck the horse testicles to keep them warm and unshriveled but of course its just a meaningless feature with no gameplay additions.

I don't understand why people started seething about minor game details lately, especially after decades of jerking off to melting ice in Metal Gear Solid 2 which is literally never used throughout the game. Game developers always like to add some random bullshit just to see if they could, but people started treating it like it was the focus. Partly I think this is happening is precisely because of the internet so people just have more awareness of these details and they started treating them as "selling points" because game journos present them as such, but reality is that game developers rarely expect you to notice or care about it.
