It's a game commenting on how people distract themselves with the lives of others thinking they are having some impact through it. ONISM should be obvious.
Yeah, yeah. I'm sure its some clever allegory for depression or whatever.
I remember the creator came out on twitter and told us all that we are too stupid to get it. Because every one of those types of games had to have some big, loud, aggressive twitter personality being the face of it.
Again, we as a society have moved on from that era and I'm glad

He’s meant to draw attention to the fact Alex’s interpretation of parallel realities can’t be correct because he has a history with Claudio and Chondra (meaning they can’t actually be from another world) and his story is meant to be a veiled parallel to his relationship with Michael. I think anyway

nta, but I agree; the average gamer is in fact retarded and fail to grasp extremely basic things. Doesn't excuse his game from being shit though.

maybe meant to explain why claudio stopped liking alex, alex invites himself on this trip to claudios old friend and probably valued customer, then alex just sits there insulting the guy because he can't share the spotlight.
>>717715709 >that one time a deranged autist made a game that was essentially fanfiction about him getting together with a suicide victim he saw in the news once
kinda cool, ngl
name?
For as much as I enjoy YIIK threads and rewatching Running Shine's video, should I actually break down and get the game? On sale of course, I'm not paying $20 for this.

I unironically masturbate to fantasies of a lifelong love to every attractive 20-something year old woman who commits suicide, crying how I could have saved her

If you can, just pirate it. I don't think it's worth any amount of money personally, but it does have a certain uniqueness to it that I can't deny.

Not sure what you're looking for by playing it. The combat is alright as of I.V. but the game has finite encounters and overall, the gameplay still drags a lot at parts and the post-game removes the ability to skip ahead to the next line of dialogue which, coupled with how dialogue heavy it is, is pretty grating.
Overall, still a bad game.
>>717719000 >alex invites himself on this trip to claudios old friend
Didnt claudio literally invite alex to see this guy. Also yea alex was being a prick but can you blame him the guy was a total faggot
>>717719000
Claudio seems neutral on Alex (or at least recognizes he's a weirdo), Chondra straight up doesn't like Alex or ONISM and doesn't want to hang out with him but does so because of Claudio
Yiik's writing is pure condensed cringe kino on the level of The Room. If not for the migraine inducing visuals in the mind world and in combat it would be a great game.

their fault if they don't listen, glad he made some money at least

read the wiki: >YIIK: A Postmodern RPG, released in February 2019, had the character Semi Pak disappear in a similar way to Lam, kickstarting the plot of the game. This was criticized by many, who found it distasteful.
man

YIIK isn't about depression. You've played inferior derivative YIIK knockoffs like Omori and assumed that's what YIIK is like. You're out of your element and are talking out of your ass.

There’s a phone call at the end of the game when reality breaks where Michael calls acting like Chondra and vice versa, they were always the same
