people like you create anti-woke fatigue. Nintendo literaly just gives their devs a task and whatever comes of it is what you see. In this case, it was "make use of both mouse controls" and they went with paralympics for some reason, just like their task for switch was "make use of both gyros" and they came out with a game about people who dont have fucking arms.

Okay retard, then I guess we need to start whinging about twisted metal because in the 90s it had a nigger without arms as one of the characters, thats DOUBLE dei points.
If you genuinely think dxd is a dei bit, then you should congratulate nintendo on fleecing kikes with a 20 dollar bargain bin game, but if you choose to stop being a smoothbrained retard, you can just accept that somebody had recently watched the paralympics, proposed the game as their project, and went with it.

Played both the first time and for an hour just now. It's a lot of fun, but now my right wrist is fucked, so I'm out for today. Wonder if not using the strap this time around made the difference, or if it's just because I now know what I'm doing so I'm moving much more intensely.

>>717712575
It's the opposite, it takes some time to 'click' and gets more fun from that point on. It's also extremely skill-intensive, the difference between new players and players who've played for two or three hours is already huge.

>>717714993
There's an option for it in the menu, but I haven't tried to see if it actually works in the demo.

>>717715295
Mouse mode only, and it's the only way it would make sense. Legs are not only suitable, I found using my legs to be far better than using my desk.

>>717716367
That's because everybody sucks. When you go against really good players you'll find team positioning gets really important and blocking opponents while your teammate has the ball is really useful.

For the best scoring, I've seen one really good player get consistent goals (even three-pointers) using tilts and bunny hops with the offense build. I play Guard myself so dunking is basically my only option to score because everything else is really likely to miss (and I suck at bunny hopping). The disadvantage of dunks of course is that you need to line up perfectly which is hard to do and easy to block.
Anonymous No.717716757 >>717717454
>>717716367
Yeah. The best strategy is to just rush. Since it forces you to switch possession, the best strategy seems to be exchanging quick hoops back to back until someone fucks up. From there it's really hard to catch back up because it relies on your opponents also fucking up, which is really hard to do when you simply rush the hoop and score immediately. At least, this will be the case until people figure out how the controls work and can reliably defend in ways that aren't just ramming.
Anonymous No.717717420 >>717720103
Turns out you can make your own lobbies. Not sure where the code is for it though.
Anonymous No.717717454
>>717716454
You need to hit them at the right angle to knock the ball away, but 1) you can disrupt them by ramming into them even if not from the front, 2) if you keep them busy long enough the shot timer runs out and they lose possession that way, 3) you just need to touch them from the front, there's no speed requirement, leading to 4) you can circle around them while blocking them to get to their front, forcing them to navigate away or lose the ball. The better you get, the more the rules make sense.

>>717716641
Definitely not, the release is imminent. They're not going to make any major design changes, this is just to catch any major bugs before release day.

>>717716757
Ramming (or rather, aligning yourself to force the opponent to ram into you from the front or swerve away) is the best defense against dunking. You need to build up speed and be in a specific area to perform the dunk, making it easy to block you on your way if players are positioned correctly (which they should be after a goal).

If they wanted people to try out their game, they could have at least designed the characters to be appealing to the Nintendo audience. These generic-looking guys look like they're living in some kind of post-apocalyptic dystopia where they have to wear a full suit and mask just to not die from poison gas or radiation.
Or if you're gonna make people sit in a wheel-chairs to play, an obvious question would be, why didn't you just put them in cool and cute vehicles instead? Constantly being reminded of a disability in a depressing environment just isn't fun or enjoyable.

Feelings on the game aside you gotta at least give nintendo credit for being pretty much the only one out there still willing to do smaller experimental game ms like this in this day in age, especially given it’s what everyone’s been asking for. It doesn't make the sport bad automatically, but let's at least be honest and admit that people don't want to be handicapped. Anon, they needed some activity that could be done entirely with two arms and nothing else. 'Something cripples do' is the most obvious route to go because they only have their arms, and paralympics basketball is a natural choice for something that would actually make a fun game. You can call it uninspired, but it's obviously not DEI. I was actually slightly worried it'd get hated on for being 'in bad taste', making something people have to resort to because they lack an alternative into a fun game for everyone ('appropriating culture' in idpol terms).

The design makes sense and it works well. Forced DEI bullshit is bad because it's forced in at the expense of better designs. The 'two mice on your legs with HD Rumble control the two wheels of a wheelchair' design works well, and the game was built from the ground up around this design, not to give representation to handicapped people but to demonstrate the gameplay possibilities of the new controllers. It's not the usual DEI modus operandi where they take something normal and replace arbitrary elements for DEI pandering.

I’m not good at this game, say skill issue all you want. I used a table and I only won like two games out of four. Since we’re comparing this to ARMS, at least the latter was more simple. Left Punch, Right Punch, grab dodge and jump, etc. This game has tons of tech like the Bunny Hop that’s a crapshoot to pull off with the mouse movement.

Also apparently you get rings for winning but if you lose then they’re gone so I won just to keep my ring. I don’t know if the full game will have anything worth buying it for, I just played for the exclusive NSO icon.
