I'm 35 years old and I stopped being a NEET just so I could upgrade my computer and buy a 4090 + 9800x3d combo all so that I DON'T have to worry about performance.

People who do the opposite are worse -- giving positive reviews when the developers are shit, even though they like the game. A key example would be ARK. Dogshit developers in every sense of the word, but sells like crazy. Players complain and complain, but the devs never need to do shit because the players never do anything beyond that. That is why gamers are pathetic and deserve mockery and all the poor treatment it gets. Because they allow it, in spite of everything they say.

when I was a kid I remember spending hours trying to get Toy Story to run on my computer
it finally ran at a shitty resolution and I was so damn happy
