No, he's bad

I don't think he's my usual kind of cool but as far as "default" fighting game characters go he at least stands out from all the standard-issue martial artists.

Not so much now but he's one of the better fighting game MC's. If he is Daisuke's alter ego OC then Strive Sol fits the bill of him settling down and passing it on to the next generation (though said next generation is fake and gay).

The setting being based off of rock and metal comes from Bastard!! sure but Daisuke did say in the past that Sol was just supposed to be a cooler version of himself. Also Bastard!! is fucking great and I recommend it to any Guilty Gear fan who hasn't read it before.

He's like half Jotaro half Dark Schneider.
He has some of Jotaro's mannerism but also lifts a lot of shit from Dark Schneider like a lot of his spells (Napalm Death, Exodus=Tyrant Rave EX, etc.), the fire sword gimmick, Dragon Install being a reference to both the Dragon Knight and Majin DS, and of course the redhead waifu who also reincarnates in a ditzy version with longer hair.

This feels like a maliciously disingenuous excuse of how the FGC and Bridget "fans" behave in reality. You don't need to "sperg out" at all, you just need to either politely call Bridget a dude or accidentally slip up and call him one and you'll get the ire of every fucking danger hair troon in the building and the orbiters trying to placate them. THAT'S why it matters.
