What do you think of Game Freaks newer approach of trying to put the characters front and center alongside the Pokemon themselves.
Is the games becoming more story oriented worth sacrificing gameplay quality.

I don't mind them promoting the characters when they definitely know people like them such as with Larry in SV but I don't want the games to take too much of a hit because of it. SV actually found a really good balance between story and gameplay. Same with Unova. Sun/Moon did not find a good balance whatsoever yet they somehow made Shillie into the most overused character in the franchise next to Cynthia, an equally worthless character who doesn't do shit in game.
Still love Pokegirls though.
