experiment with all kinds of weapons and styles to find what is the most fun, adept/guild/valor are generally the most fun

it was only 5 buck on switcharoo bro. i won't shed a tear if it's shite. I thought rise was pretty fun though. zipping around was fun.

I was annoyed at the anime styles and skills but looking back on it this is still a great classic style game. You have the option to play guild style and ignore the skills if you want. The only irredeemable sin of it is ruining lance. It just feels wrong.
Also, still the best looking game aesthetically. I love the detailed skyboxes much more than the small open world of Wilds.

Kino of the highest order and a truck fuck load of content it IS the anniversary celebration game, so it has some absolutely absurd amount of monsters.

I do however also recommend playing MH4U.

I played it during COVID with a group of six friends, it will forever remain my top online gaming experience and one of my top ten games of all time.
It's way better than everything that came after it, get someone to play with if you can.
