One thing I hope they keep from the original is running into party members who aren't currently on your team on random floors of dungeons

I also hope they keep the "talk to team members" and have random conversations while exploring. Persona 5 didn't have a ton of that, and it seemed like Persona 3 Reload reduced the number of party interactions while exploring compared to the original PS2 release. Kind of a bummer, I thought it was a really nice touch in FES and P4 (never played golden)

I don't know why you people keep saying this. The P5 dungeons were the whole fucking story. They were integral to the narrative and progression of the whole fucking game. Both for the story and the characters.

In order to duplicate that dungeon style in P4, they'd have to rewrite the entire story from the ground up. Including every main character's story arc. At that point, it's no longer a remake. It's a completely different game.

Despite being pretty dull, the dungeons in 3, 4, and especially Reload hold up better on repeat playthroughs since you don't have to go through all the same dialogue, fight the same enemies in the same spots (bosses/minibosses excepted), do busywork to progress, and get the same items in the same chests every time, and without shuffle time, which is more engaging than negotiation.
