I played this a few months ago when it was on sale and was surprised only it and the fifth game ever got re-releases. Are the first three games easy to emulate?

The PS2 trilogy emulates well, with some bugs here and there. I remember the final boss in 1 can softlock you and 3 has some sped up garbled audio that requires a patched version of pcsx2 to fix. Also, look into the translation patches if you don't like horridly done english dubbing.

Sakuya, Ayako and Kageri are all gothic baddies. The whole game is geared towards that type as opposed to the usual traditional kimono wearing ghosts from other games.
Will there ever be Fatal Frame 6 or is the franchise dead for good. I know it sounds bizarre but there's something oddly comfy about these games that no other horror games can replicate. I play these games annually during halloween and I've been loving it everytime.

From what I remember, the remasters did pretty well sales wise and they were definitely using it as a feeler for a new games market viability. I think with the resurgence of Silent Hill, now would be a great time to do it.

I mean, they said they wanted to make it more action focused and from what I've seen all I could think was 'this game desperately needs a combat system that isn't just hit things until they die'.

Kino fucking game in a kino underappreciated series. Probably my favorite in the whole series

My only issue with it was the really rushed ending and forced slow animations to keep up tension. The final boss fight especially was very clear that they had ran out of budget by that point. 5's finale was a lot better imo.

Yeah. FF4 has the same issue of RE2 where it's really amazing during your first time trying to navigate the hospital then you get to the sewers and underground areas and it kinda just runs out of steam. 5 imo was pretty even throughout but had a bad case of repeating levels but the final 3 or so chapters were pretty intense imo. Especially the chapter where you had to continually monitor the sleeping girls from CCTVs and ghosts would jump scare you from the camera.

There really needs to be a horror game where you play as a gorgeous MILF fresh out of the shower. The first monster attacks her before she's able to get dressed and she loses her towel, forcing her to spend the entire 30+ hour campaign completely naked.
Her inventory is whatever she can fit inside her pussy and anus, her chubby belly also bulges more based on the amount of items inside of her.

Well 5 was stuck on the wiiu and 4 was stuck in the Japanese wii and it was bugged so you couldn't 100% it, so I think it makes sense they rereleased those first

Most of the games have been stuck on the ps2, which are the best ones. Still, the remasters sold well so KT better not be holding the future of the series over our heads for another seven years.

I think you can still buy the first three on psn if you have a sony console since I remember buying the digital versions on the ps3, but honestly i never owned a sony console after ps3 so idk if they are still on the store. I heard Fatal Frame 1 was supposed to get a remake.

I sold all my consoles to go towards getting a PC a while back. I know I could emulate the old games but it just wouldn't be the same and I like directly supporting the devs. I'll buy a FF 1-3 remaster pack three times over if given the chance

Sadly. I feel like fixed angles are naturally more fear inducing than over the shoulder. 4 and 5 are just not that scary to me compared to the dread when you turn a corner in 1-3 and you don't know what you're gonna get
