I'd say it was very good. I'm glad I stuck with it and got past this bastard. A game like Armored Core VI where I needed to see everything it had to offer.

Yes it was.
But it's definitely flawed.
Some fights are unfun, while others marginally outranked many of Elden Rings.
Doing 100% was a chore though.
Especially the really grindy ones.
And, like may soulslikes, it is almost uncompleteable without a wiki. That's only if you care about getting everything thoiugh.

The goofy monkey sounds the character makes is enough for me to never take the game serious no matter how much unwarranted praise it gets.

based taste, Erlang was one of the few bosses that actually felt like a proper duel and not just a spectacle. Wish more of the game leaned into that kind of tight design instead of the cinematic "look how cool this is" moments.

SEA curry here.
literally no one talks about the game here.
except the chink newspapers, from chinkneses celebs who pretend to play games. those celebs previously never talk about games at all.
gaming and PC shops showed the trailer and demo for a few months, then it disappeared like smoke.

Does you character have a personality like him at least? I feel like it'd be kind of a waste to have a monkey king game without the banter or smug movements.

It was the first Chinese AAA title with a long history of hype, and China's limited history in international gaming. It was natural that people would talk about it more than others. You can clearly see, once the floodgate was opened, later titles from other companies didn't get talked about as much.

oh lol lmao that thing
The threads for it COMPLETELY fizzled out after its release and devolved into either people trying to shill it by posting the MC or at the mercy of feetfags using the MC as their threads' OPs
