Farm a lot
With normal you can get away with Master bomber for t1, MAD for t2, engigon for t3, acegon for t4 and wizgon + boatgon for t5. Fairly sure I did overkill
For Elite it was harder but the easy prices let you farm A LOT in the early game. I did Master bomber for t1, dartgon d40 for t2, engigon d63 for t3, acegon d65 for t4, wizgon d60 in the middle of round 116 while I sold the dartgon for money and boatgon 73 with all my money on 120
If you farm a lot it's not hard, you just need a lot of dps. I was able to get the elite first try.

I hate wizgon so much it's unreal. Having to build it in advance for mana means your entire run is bricked if you did literally anything wrong.

It's not for mana, it's because the metamorphosis ability takes so long to recharge, and you REALLY want it up for 120. I almost brick the run because of this because I kept getting a degree 59 so I kept delaying the round 116 for extra money. On the attempt I actually got the degree 60 the round finished right after buying it so if I hadn't got the degree I wanted I would have had to go back to round 100.
As soon as you build him he has full mana already, you just make sure he doesn't deplete it.
I don't really know how much damage each of them did but I'm fairly sure the best was the ultraboost buffed wizardgon metamorphosis.
