the rewards are well proportional to the challenge you had to overcome to get it. do some actual dungeons in the game or fight a real boss if you want real loot. if you happen to find a hidden chest out in the middle of no where with a good item then good for you.

What's the issue? If they wanted your baby mode sprays to be available in every encounter then they would have made them recharge infinitely like your flask. They're called consumables because they're consumed and you're limited on how many you get.

Crafting in general is one of the worst game mechanics ever devised by the hand of Man.

you dont really NEED to farm crafting items unless you are a PvP autist who refuses to use the 3rd party tools. grabbing every single crystal shard as you go through a crystal cave will give you hundreds of crystal throwing darts, enough for like 6+ bosses and they are situational items so you might get all you need for the entire game just by going through 1 cave 1 time. the same goes for a lot of crafting materials. the golden fireflies around 1 pond will give enough for an XP boost item for every major boss in the base game.

its not like an MMO where you need to farm an area endlessly unless you are hunting a specific weapon drop you saw on the wiki.

It crafts some of the best items.

Playing ER for the first time since couple days ago, I'm not too much into rollparryripostelikes, but I got Nightreign out of interest and liked it quite a bit. Just want to say, mount in ER is such a dogshit mechanic, I hope if they'll ever make open-world game again they'll use surge sprint for traveling.
Actually, scratch that. No open world, just make the map be 20 Stormveil castles and be done with it.

i appreciate these things value but because they're effectively "limited" per playthrough (because while they are valuable, they aren't good enough to justify farming snow trolls for) i just never bother using them. it's like getting a megalixir and never wanting to use it in FF.

The problem with limiting these consumables is that it can be bypassed so easily. If you're already the level that you want and need them for PVP reasons you can just copy your save file and paste it back at the end of the session, consumables restored.
If you actually need them you can just drop them for a friend, revert save file, rinse and repeat. Limitless consumables.
And I'm sure there are ways to dupe it.
