i'm genuinely so impressed with her writing. none of it feels derivative and still feels like it has its own sense of style and nuance. was really shocked to see it was written by a woman in this day and age. changed my whole perspective about women in the industry. i feel as though i was very ignorant prior to this game releasing. i don't want to sound like an incel, but i do like how there wasn't a huge emphasis on having another male human character in the roster as comic relief, which i think is almost mandatory for JRPGs. all the party members had their own sense of character and dialog. super refreshing game. gives me a lot of hope for the future

The reason why is because she wasn't a writer, she was an accountant that loved sci-fi and fantasy.
The unspoken truth is that writing is a profession best done later in life once you have some lived experience to build off of.
Going into school for being a writer just cooks your brain in bad ways and gives an unearned ego.
The only exception to this is if they are the kind of person with savant-like capabilities that was both showing promise and taking writing seriously before the age of 10, and just kept rolling from there.
