Reading this board lately feels like watching a bunch of people try to use a smartphone for the first time and complain it doesn't have physical buttons. Every minor change in Battlefield 6 is getting blown up into some catastrophic betrayal.

It’s pretty clear most people here only ever liked one Battlefield game, hated the rest, and don’t even play the one they claim was perfect anymore.

Before we continue: I am old. I’ve played every Battlefield game during its prime. Back in the day, my clan was one of the first to spin up a Desert Combat server (and even then, the community was the same complaining that DC was an abomination against what made BF great). My least played title was BF Vietnam because the 1942 modding scene was just TOO good at the time to move on.

It’s not. You just don’t recognize it because it’s not ripped straight from BF4. Sure, the icons are abstract but they’re not confusing unless you're actively refusing to engage with them.

I've seen multiple complaints about there being no option to squad up or continue on the same server?
Maybe check the bottom of the screen after the round ends. The “Continue” and “Squad Up” buttons are literally right there.

TTK is fast. OH NO, aim and positioning actually matter again. You don’t get to coast on sponge health and panic-proning anymore. If that’s too much, it’s not a balance issue, it’s a skill issue. Also: TTK is in line with BF3 for most weapons. This TTK is not new.

Why? Because some of you never figured out how to adapt? The flexibility to build your own kit is one of the best updates DICE has made in years. And guess what, they already gave you a nostalgia mode. Go enjoy it.

I'm having a blast with the beta, and can't wait to play more after work.

It’s alright for the most part, driving the LAV is wonky, didn’t even drive the tank yet. Helis are also kind of wonky and easy to shoot down. Don’t care about jets desu. Guns are cool with some weird recoil thing that sprays everywhere but bearable. I still don’t like the inclusions of abilities but they’re kind of fun like calling in uavs as a sniper and such. It’s fun, and am hoping their br mode is fun too

said the helicopter is wonky and the jet is too. I don’t get why they can’t just take what works. Shit gta and cod have had working air vehicles for 15 years now it’s not rocket science. Other than that and the difficulty to see enemy players sometimes I think it’s good. It could let us destroy more buildings though let me level a building completely.

It genuinely feels more like call of duty than any other Battlefield game, although part of that may be that it's in beta and the classes are so limited/maps are all close quarters

It's fun to frag out against a bunch of fodder like every battlefield game. Beyond that I dunno, thought it was dull

It doesn't feel like a Battlefield game. Maps, sounds, lighting everything is more like MOH Warfighter was than any of the last few battlefields.

The Battlefield series lost me forever with Battlefield 1 and 5 when they were making historical wars into DEI parades. I will never spend money on or play their series ever again.

This board never likes anything for whatever reason (too poor to buy new games, hardware too weak, edgy teenagers being against popular thing, etc), so you can't really take its opinion seriously

I'm tired of metro and locker 24/7 apologists It was for grinding xp in a meat grinder and it was always shit. At least in karkand you could break out of the nade spam and play the rest of the map.

Game is too fast. Maps are too small. No strategy whatsoever everyone just runs into the meat grinder and dies every 10 seconds. Feels exactly like COD with somewhat bigger maps. They have to slow down the movement by alot and open up the maps more. Glad there was a beta because I was gonna buy it but will not be doing so

the only objectively bad thing about the game is that the recoil feels like shit. yes its like previous BF's but that recoil is just outdated now. make the recoil like CODS, the guns feel satisfying due to the punch/animations and literally have more recoil and realism than BF6 despite being a run and gun game. it will make the TTK's understandable while there still being the ability to actually get good at the guns recoil patterns.

none of this is why the game feels like it is. ironically if they made the recoil like CODS, all of the complaining will disappear and the gunplay will feel satisfying. they upgraded on every aspect of playstyle, except the recoil, which is still like the previous BF's.

It's decent but doesn't feel fresh enough nor is it fun enough to warrant the price.
I actually asked chatgpt what was new in bf6 that set it apart from the rest of the series and the answer was that it was a return to the modern setting and it had some dynamic animation system.
Gameplay is the same zoom zoom from flag to flag, not requiring a transport or airlift, no coordination, no destructible objectives, medic train repair bitch while someone pads their k/d ratio gameplay that's made BF stale for the past decade or more.

I watched the gameplay for Battlefield 6. And the new Call of Duty? And they're practically the same. I played 2042 and I think Black Ops Cold War. Came out around that one. Played both of them and they were practically the same.

I'm not buying Battlefield until it stops being Call of Duty. When I buy Battlefield, I expect a game like Rising Storm two Vietnam I like trundling along a little bit. I don't like having to Sprint two times speed 14 miles. Then fight somebody who's using a shotgun and jumping and sliding and dashing everywhere. Completely unrealistically.
