>The whole Anti-Memetics saga
The worse part about that series is how overplayed it's become in the community.
It's supposed to be a branch of the Foundation that deals with impossible to remember shit, and from that simple pov, it works.
But then people turned it into this whole "We suffer in silence, remembering what others cannot" sort of schtick that comes off as forced and contrived situations created soley to make whoever that episodes OC is look badass.
Don't get me started on the whole main plot where their trying to find some sort of lab to stop a anti-meme plague or something from infecting the world, and what do they find?
A big space, a nuke/bomb, and a note telling them to "kill themselves lol lmao", and the cycle repeats.
And it sucks because theres some really cool ideas in there, whole human civilizations lost and ruined that can never be found because their behind a memetic filter and unable to be seen or touched. That's a cool idea, and it suffers from being lumped together with the absolute shitpile that is anti-memetics.

I don't remember the details of what it did since it was one of those 'fanfic' tier scps that dragged on but I do remember that it was empowered through 'sacrifice'. The main catch was that basically any action a person does that comes at the expense of something else counts as a 'sacrifice' and makes it stronger.

As I recall, that thing was summoned by some radical hippie/feminist cult in an attempt to reverse the industrial revolution or something, and all the cult members except the leader/summoner get spaghetti'ed into the 5th dimension, while the leader gets their head turned into a upside down triangle of light.
I remember very clearly that the research the foundation did to terminate the ritual would require the beating hearts of every living human involved in the ritual, and it grew exponetially, until the cost to stop it would require the heart of every living human on the planet all at once.
Neat concept/monster, but a really stupid writing choice.

Okay that's refreshing my memory a little bit.
>the research the foundation did to terminate the ritual would require the beating hearts of every living human involved in the ritual
Looking back it probably could've just ended there, or even just be contained via routine sacrifices sent into the forest dimension in resides in so it remained a constant threat, rather than whatever got dumped out.
