why did this game break /v/ exactly?

They paid shills to have 20-25 concurrent E33 threads on /v/ for an entire month.

It gave /v/ what they wanted and their default contrarian brains couldn't parse it.

Why can't AAA corporations do the same?

they did. look at the battlefield threads. the problem is that people here fell for the shitspedition meme and started spamming threads FOR FREE along with the paid shills

Tendies hate non Nintendo popular things
Anonymous No.717749012
Certain games become forced memes in the industry where everyone praises them despite not actually being very good

Remember The Last of Us? Expedition 33 is a similar case to that game

It triggered too many groups of people at the same time: Nintendo fanboys, turn-based haters, "old good, new bad" crowd, big corporation defenders, fag enablers and so on.

Every time their is a non-US, non-AAA game that is successful and people like, their is a schizo that spam the thread calling everyone shill and that Steam chart are just bot.

It served as a reminder of how good games can actually be and how garbage the vast majority of them are. It was the same for BG3 and Elden Ring.

I'm about 99% sure those "E33 good, Japanese games bad" threads were made by falseflagging E33 haters. There's a good chance "E33 good, FF7R bad" were made by someone who hates both games, too, to stir shit between their fans.
My reasoning is simple: I'm a turbo weeb who plays mostly Japanese games, including Japanese-only, including indies with 5 reviews on Steam, and my favourite genre is JRPG. And I loved E33. I also have 7 friends who played E33, 5 of them are also fans of JRPGs, all 7 loved it too.

I was born from a japanese mother and I am a part of the tokugawa bloodline. I have created several nationalist movements within the country. Some even view me as the godfather of the rpg and I was one of the key players bringing Wizardry to its rightful home. There is not an ounce of me that does not bleed japan. I did not enjoy the game, in fact, it is a blatant kusoge.

Yes it is. Poorfags cant afford to pay for internet to properly stream games. The best they can do is to score a used ps5 to play modern games. Also, streaming games is kinda gay bro, you should look into it
