we played the stages we could and then rotated games. poor people grinded them out and completed them.

They had to be difficult because of how short they are. It was a limitation of the hardware at the time.

That's why I just use save states as a pseudo continue system between levels.

Because back in the day your friend would come over and video games wouldn’t be like 20% of the hangout session maybe less like 15%. And then you would go outside and do other things zoomer, like go to the pier, or go to the park, or go to the local icecream/candy place, or some girls would actually come over from the local highschool and we would do bad things with them..
