You need DoT appliers, someone that can deploy cover, probably some cheap single target healers to help cycle skills, someone that can hit the groggy button for with their EX skill that isn't terribly expensive, and of course you want someone that can burst DPS when the boss is groggy.
Just a list of characters don't give the full picture, since someone like Chise only has a DoT when she has access to her 3rd subskill. And of course more mechanics get introduced when you're going higher up the tower so knowing where you're getting walled is useful to know

If there were a student with aoe cleanse, i imagine some crazy people would come up with strats, but the closest thing we have is Rumi, who only cleanses her first and last target. Wakamo is an Anni student, not just a limited. Those are in the draw pool during Anniversary and Half-Anniversary every 6 months, but not sparkable. But yeah, if you WANT a limited student, you better ROLL for them on their banner. That should be obvious.

Only Anniversary students do. Which Wakamo is one of. Shupos are not in the pool during Anni, let alone sparkable. Limited students are only available during their banners and their banner reruns. I don't think they have ever archived or made any previous Limited banners unavailable (outside of collabs). Yet.

Missing someone forever just feels bad, like there's a gaping hole in the roster where a plot-relevant character was.

If you dont use a tank its easier to chop your DPS output by a quarter, a third in half, then snuffed out.
Having a tank means your opponent needs to cleave their way through a bunch of health before they can start to have a meaningful impact on your damage output since tanks aren't expected to put out damage anyway.
