Gumshoe is at its worst.
Kay somehow only matters when she forgets who she is, makes me wonder why she was even there and they didn't use a different girl in the 4th case.

It's a visual novel.
Gameplay is nonexistent if not a second thought

It wasn't that good.

The pursuit theme isn't a banger like in the first game, sorry, how can I play without jamming?

Kay was a mistake. Edgeworth should have just teamed up with Gumshoe and Ema.

And Oldbag will be the only permanent woman? No thanks. HE always has all sorts of lolis as partners, why can't we?

Justine Courtney, or whatever the Judge's official localized name is, follows the standard AA-opposing-prosecutor arc that they use in nearly every game (twice in SoJ) of starting out as an antagonist and then having the MC win them over and they team up, except this time they never really adequately explain why she disliked Edgeworth in the first place. This in turn means the mandated "look, she's on your side now!" scene in case four feels especially formulaic and arbitrary and generally lacking. With that said, she's great as an ally and her going into a panic animation that she NEVER uses during regular case work as soon as the topic of her son comes up is a fantastic detail.

You are simply wrong.

Yeah, Kay's by far the worst assistant. A trio with just Edgeworth, Gunshoe, and Franziska would've been perfect.

Courtney's fat tits are too distracting.

She does? The whole thing doesn't ever feel personal with her.

2nd and 4th cases sound good at first but then 5th case starts and both bosses come back for a second round (so it feels like both crimes were just a waste of time and only build-up for mastermind's and president's storylines had worth in those cases)
Yes, first part of 5th case basically redeems Sebastian and completes his character development through his confrontation with Blaise, but it still took way too much time from already long and overburdened case with shitton of plotlines to wrap up (so some plotlines like the entire thing with De Killer felt like they didn't really matter in the end, even though some of them were established from the 1st case).
I have no issues with 1st and 3rd cases, though

Brought back the 2-3 carnies, albeit not the worst ones. They could have just had a new circus/characters.

Some of the fandub names were better, and they should have embraced them.

I had choose your own adventure books as a kid, where you could collect inventory and shit to progress. Knightmare was pretty cool.

To me, the Ace Attorney Series is just that with graphics to back it up. They're perfectly valid games.

Wasn't it just Regina and animals?

You're right. For some reason I hallucinated Trilo/Quist and Moe being in it, but they weren't.
