Because I hate VRR flicker, don't want to constantly worry over burn in, play in a room where there is a lot of light, and I don't watch a lot of movies/shows on my PC - that's what my TV is for.

I did use an OLED TV as my gaming monitor. Guess what happened to it after I played long hours of a certain game with large, static UI elements, for weeks.

If you trust what you read online maybe.
If you actually used one you'd know why they're used on phones.
Here's an IPS screen. Cleaned too, but the flash light I'm using is 1000 lumens and can light up an entire room easily.

Pricey, and color inaccurate unless you can spend a fortune.
An IPS can have great color accuracy and great refresh rates, and be really affordable, although the constrast could not be the best.
There are no reason to get an OLED, just like a 4k.

Also on OLED the VRR flicker only occurs in NEAR BLACK areas of the display, while on a MiniLED it occurs on the entire display, in any color.
On OLED it can be eliminated entirely on for instance a C4 by lowering the black tuning to around -3 from default 0) or having a flatlined frametime.

that's because your organic pixels are already dead, order new TV and place it nearby to see the difference, you can return new TV or keep it at this point

Meme tech. All of the cheap oleds are worse than 20 year old office monitors, is unusable after 4 years, screen too dark, not even that much better than good va panels especially now that we have mini led

oled pixels die by turning black just like a normal pixel, the only difference is theyre self emissive. >>717779785
do you really think 1k lumens is a lot or something?
i bet a simple table light next to your display would show those streaks lmao
>>717780134
color fringe for text is worse on woled depending on subpixel layout, than qdoled
a yellow box will have a red(or pink, forgot) and green outline on each side on a qdoled
though a C4 or newer doesnt really have any fringe

Enough to blow our your LCD and expose all the streak marks you think aren't there from soap scum.
