every MMX after the first game has gotten worse. MMX is a 10/10, 2 dropped down to 8/10, but 3 was like a 4/10. never had any desire to keep playing after that.

I used to play this opening video over and over again when I got it because I thought it was the coolest shit ever. I think it's what solidified Zero as my favorite video game character ever. I also hear the music video anytime a stock typing sound effect plays in any other media lmao

all X games are bad, the charge shot completely ruins the entire point of megaman by meaning instead of having to use boss weapons you can just charge shot spam and do about as good if not better then the weapons that need ammo/strategy to use as long as you're willing to hear annoying whrrr sounds the entire time you play

generally are not that good at video games and most of the time have terrible taste in general.

I think reviewers should be specialized in certain genres or certain types of games.

zero sucks to play as before his own series, his swordplay is so slow unless you dash cancel. in x1/2 you can dash and shoot and do nearly as much as a charge shot. also the boss weapons after x1 are mostly bad, actually x4's are pretty good too but i agree the plasma shot too good in that game.

rising fire and aiming laser kill a lot of things quickly, ground hunter and twin slasher are nice spammable weapons to get through levels especially with the helmet upgrade, lightning web is great for mobility obviously, frost tower is pretty powerful but too slow most of the time (maybe the charged variant's faster?), and i don't remember using soul body or double cyclone much.

Id say after X1 honestly.
Every game has THAT outlier that is actually good but the rest of them suck, which is why people tend to stick with the buster unless youre speedrunning.

X1 is just too difficult to build upon because the whole point is that Megaman gets weapons in classic while X himself develops new powers. You either build on top keeping old powers leading to level design that becomes obnoxious to stop you speeding through it (X3 snails) or cut the powers pissing people off.
You can only rebuild X so many times before it gets annoying
