>"people" actually bought the steam deck
Please tell me you didn't fall for valve's latest beta test hardware meme blunder and bought a Switch 2 instead. It's practically the best - no, the only console on the market with good games.

By buying a Steam Dreck, you're literally missing out on Mario Kart World
>a.k.a the most fun open world racing game since Midnight Club with chaotic 24 player races
and Donkey Kong Bananza
>a.k.a the best goddamn platformer that Ninty ever made, which makes Super Mario Odyssey look like Sonic Forces
and Duskbloods
>a.k.a Bloodborne 2 Snoy-Free edition
and Metroid Prime 4
>a.k.a the fourth installment of the godlike Metroid Prime series
and all the other brilliant first party games that Nintendo has. You're even missing out on ToTK at 4K 60fps. No, being able to emulate Mario Kart 8 at 20fps doesn't justify a Shit Deck.

>but I'll emulate them, tendie
Nintendo learned their lesson with the Switch 1. You're not getting a decent emulator until at least a decade passes (after the Switch 2 hits end of life) and even if you do, you're not emulating them on the Deck. Don't be caught playing sloppy seconds, get a Switch.

You're forgetting about the thousands of games the Switch 2 doesn't have which are available on the Deck. No matter what the sales tell you, the Steam Deck will always be the better deal.

Honestly the only good thing to come out of the goydeck fiasco is proton, because it allows some key office/productivity windows only software to run on troonix, allowing a lot of people to finally ditch windows.

Those games are also on chink handhelds that are 200 dollars cheaper with only slightly worse specs, or your main PC on a cloud service/ completely free through programs like Parsec.

why get shitty deck or shitty switch when you can build a pc for the same price and have a better experience in every way?

10 years ago, sure. Things have changed dramatically and the economy has been very unkind to PC parts unless you're getting them second hand from some VERY generous sellers who aren't lowkey selling you something faulty or a box filled with polystyrene and a brick.

The PC market is fucked anon, just a new PC without a GPU is going to make you fork over as much as a switch 2 itself if you don't want dogshit parts.
The only possible way to get decent performance comparable to a console without used parts is with ancient AM4 boards and CPUs, and even then you still need either an used GPU or going for AMD cards two or more generations old (because jewvidia cards that old are still expensive as shit).
And even then at that point you are better off buying a new switch 1 anyway, not to mention an used one for even less money.

Look for sales, upper mid range pcs are reasonable even for poorfag neets like me.
