I beat the original MGS3 like 20 times, so I look forward to it looking and feeling different if just a little bit

game was playable last week
it doesn't feel the same despite the 1/1 because they did a lot of small changes, it doesn't feel like 3 or 5. It feels new. Also no glitches or graphical errors

It's a 1:1 remake, I don't care. I played it years ago, then again in HD. I know the story beats, I know the unlocks, I know the gameplay. In fact the remake is so 1:1 that the map sizes are same. I want you to think about this

It would be like Kingdom Hearts 2 getting a 1:1 remake, those maps were small enough barely fine for their time. Why would I get excited again? You don't have to change the combat at all if you don't want to, but the fact of the matter is MGS3 is less like rambo when you play it and more bite sized PS2 era maps. The open world of MGS5 on the PS3 is bigger, too big for the type of game. Konami chose a 1:1 remake to grab the zoomers who care about graphics. I don't care as much so I'm not buying it. It's not a big deal to me if it exists, I just choose to ignore it. All the advances we have: Installing games on SSD, the fast GPU bandwidth speeds, 16GB of VRAM and the MGS3 remake is only using 1% of current consoles powers.

I'm playing through the series for the first time, beat MGS1 last week and I think im almost finishing 2, they're pretty good. Should I play og 3 before the remake? I would normally play the original before its remake but in this case it's one of those remakes that is exact same game but with modern graphics right? So I would be playing mgs3 two times in a roll basically, also is Peace Walker worth playing?
