>Literally every controller I have ever owned has had an analog stick malfunction within 5 years
Why is this allowed?

I'm one year into my 8bitdo controller, and it's still phenomenal. It was the only one that didn't break within a few days of button mashing (I was into fortnite festival when I first got it)

Haven't had a Sony or Nintendo controller go to shit, haven't had any other chink brand go to shit.
If you're only one year in you're likely on an Ultimate anyway. Modern 8Bitdo's better than the shit they used to peddle here 7 years ago.

Never had this happen. The shitty rubber used to spring buttons back up always dies after 5 years or so.
