I'd take the floatans over increasingly worse character designs (and art), 5 scrolling jpgs, a bunch of randomly arranged mook fairies to pad game time, and then bullet patterns that are maybe fun but mostly just pretty and dogshit.
I'm not even surprised the new game uses AI but honestly he should just stick to making the music and coming up with the character concepts and let someone else do the actual bulk of the work.

Demo was fun, I enjoyed the newhus, and the music is alright. Feels like it's been a while since a proper mainline in 18, especially since 19 was a mess, so I'm looking forward to it.

I liked DDC and LoLK though...but yeah. He's a full blown sellout now and completely phoning it in. I'll play it just for game's sake but I miss caring about the setting and characters.
