Yes, I like how the roguelite elements actually fix two of the bigger flaws of imsims (savescumming and powercreep). Unfortunately, these flaws eventually crop back up but you still get a fresh experience the first 80% of your runtime.

There's a mod that lets you hyper customize the rules of the run, I bet that's in there.
