They do, but the intended gameplay is so different from classic roguelikes I personally categorize them as regular RPG's that happen to have roguelike qualities.
They're very good if you want a particular flavor of sandbox rpg grinding and don't mind some jank, both intended and not.

the problem with roguelikes is that it's hard to talk about them because avoiding spoilers is a central component of maximizing your enjoyment of the games
