Mother 2 on the Game Boy Advance fixes every single technical problem with the SNES version of the game at the small cost of some lower audio quality. Why haven't you made this your go-to version of the game yet?

Whoa, the GBA version used romaji instead of hiragana/katakana? Also, the music was the best part about the game. In the all time top 5 of game OSTs, easily.

I wish there was some way to play GBA games with the sound quality unfucked. Some games like Mother 3 and Golden Sun actually had great OSTs that were clearly kneecapped by the the shitty soundchip. If anything needs a PC rerelease/remaster it's fucking GBA games like these.

The SNES version didn’t have huge technical issues, but the GBA port did speed up text boxes and make the menu navigation smoother and snappier, especially inventory management which was clunky as hell in the original. That said, yeah, the audio downgrade is brutal. The SNES soundfont gave EarthBound its weird, dreamy atmosphere, and the crunchy GBA speakers flattened all that personality. It’s like patching your broken window with newspaper-technically covers the hole, but looks and feels like shit.

That's only a problem in the English version, and if you're playing MOTHER 1 + 2 you'll be playing it in Japanese anyway so I fail to see how this is relevant.
