Clash: Artifacts of Chaos has you exploring a strange world of esoteric rules trying to establish your own meaning of justice and repeatedly being unsuccessful in your attempts to make everyone fuck off and leave you alone.

I completely forgot they made another Zeno Clash. The description is enticing, but is it actually fun?

It's phenomenal. The combat's visceral and some of the best close-combat melee I've ever played, the world design is just as delightfully batshit as Zeno Clash 1/2, the character writing is compelling, and the overall game flows really well. I have some minor gripes with some of the soulslike mechanics and I think at one point it was intended to be co-op so there's a weirdly tacked-on dual world thing going on, but it's still something I highly recommend to anyone who liked the first two games.

The graphics are just a few pixels, but the writing and lore of Path of Achra is based on Ancient poetry and mythology

Is it challenging and difficult or more a chill soak in the world mood? Either is fine asking so I know what mindset to play it in.
Anonymous No.717815506 >>717815943

Not that anon but I thought it only gets difficult when enemies swarm you in bullshit numbers, or in tight arenas, or the enemy is bullshit and refuses to be stunned/staggered.
Really the game's more or less just a matter of you finding a hit string that never stops and using that to overwhelm whatever the hell you're fighting, and then darting back when they are no longer staggered.

You're right but let's pretend they aren't exclusive.
For me, it's factorio or strategy games like HoI and EU4

First and foremost, we have to figure out what "hyperborean spirit" even is.
It sounds rather Swedish, so it's something socialist and queer, right? Pretty sure many recent Western AAA releases will satisfy you.

I liked the RTS sections
They're not good because there's no real strategy involved and lol consoles, but there's a certain level of dumb fun to them

So Sims is the game you are looking for

Beowulf the game
Mount and blade
Gothic
Lord of the rings the two towers and return of the king
The elder scrolls series

To be honest, any game where you can customize yourself can be hyperborean in the sense that you can roleplay as a barbarian in any setting. Even the harry potter game can be a hyperborean game in the spirit.
