Turin and Elric are similar only superficially, both being pale wearing a dragon's helm and wielding a black sword, where Elric is different is that he has far more similarities to a shounen protagonist doing all sorts of crazy wacky shit and winning each time while Turin stays more in line with his inspiration, Kullervo, it's no wonder people preferred Moorecock's character
