They can still fuck it up with retarded microtransactions or technical issues when it actually launches. For example if the beta tells me I'm #200000 in queue and I need to wait then I guess that's how it goes since I haven't actually paid for anything yet. But if I pay for the game and then it still tells me I can't play because they don't have enough servers, then suddenly I would be a lot less happy about the same thing happening.
