I remember a screencap of an anon talking about the "enslopification" or "enshitification" and this image in particular; about how some retarded zoomer added the red eyes to the otherwise featureless darkness behind the door.
Anyone have it saved?
Most remakes are made by millenials who have not interacted with a zoomer at all and only know about the younger generations from talking with their millennial friends.

I hate when women do that in games/movies, ive never known a woman to act like that in any sort of crisis.
they basically just shut down speechless or scream, but in every media its "fuck fuck fuck shit fuck, weve GOTTA move!"
>>717821379 (OP) >Modern remake uses generic UE5 over the shoulder camera >completely forsakes any cinematography or creative context building >control scheme constantly takes you out of the experience and never falls into the background >consequently it needs to try to make up for the complete lack of any horror elements with its outsourced asset design, something that always falls flat because not only are the assets shit, but they're also instantly used for porn
Fixed cameras or first person cameras are the only way to do horror.

Some sort of stealth meter health bar and stamina gauge would be helpful too. Maybe a bar with the objective and a minimap indicating the monster's too
OH FUCK SHIT!
That scaly shit, King Koopa stole my best friend, Peach, again! Gotta find where that gabba-ghoul took her! >*Whistles for magic Yoshi*
C'mon Yosh, we gotta save the Princess!

Now that I think about it, why does no one in horror games ever scream? I want to play one of those indie horror games but the whole time your character is just constantly screaming.

Because the women in the writing room don't like admitting it's what they would do in that situation. Admitting they are helpless and worse than useless in dangerous situations makes them uncomfortable.

You say that, but games like RE7 and REmake 2 completely demolish every other horror game from the last 20 years. More tense as well. Before you shitpost, I'd love to hear the so called better horror games from within that span.

The last time this image was posted, it was in a thread where nobody on /v/ could understand what colours could possibly have to do with art and everyone believed paintings an an act of verisimilitude rather than expression.

Modern western women have too much testosterone and men have too much estrogen. I see the tattoo whore fridge bodies overaking me on the walking track by my house and they have the movement of a guy in army basic training doing his laps. No grace whatsoever and sailor mouth is part of that problem
>>717822856 >Horror game is in first-person, presumably for immersion >But the player character won't stop fucking talking and reacting to everything themselves

It's reminiscent of fixed camera survival just from a different perspective (top down exclusively). At first it does not seem that scary or immersive but it is. There are some clever uses of the fixed camera and line of sight for the protagonist. If he is not facing the correct direction with good lighting the surroundings can change in weird ways. I really liked it.
