I liked the enemy design in this game a lot and thought Pit n Viridi had a cute dynamic. If they did a sequel I think showing more of the greek gods as either allies or as villains would be fun and I'd be fine with Medusa and Hades taking a break despite both being great baddies.

Nintendo is only now venturing into the world of making their franchises multimedia, but so far that has only extended to Mario, DK, and Zelda which are of course their mega hits.
I don't see them utilizing smaller / dead stuff like Kid Icarus or Star Fox until successfully launched stuff for Pikmin, Xenoblade, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon at the very least. Kirby and Fire Emblem launching anything I feel like is partly up to HAL and IS which is why I don't feel like Nintendo has to wait on them, but they're guaranteed to at least have greater market potential than the dormant Nintendo series.

In spite of being a big fan of railshooters, weebshit, and cute boys I still find Uprising to be a step down from classic Kid Icarus. The rail shooter segments are poorly designed and basic and I swear my hands still hurt from the action segments. I think most people who are fans of Kid Icarus Uprising just love the characters or played a ton of the multiplayer because the single player is not fun.

I personally never understood what the big deal was against the controls. It controlled exacrly the same as any shooter on the DS and those were fun as shit. I remember playing the shit out of MP hunters with my bros. It was pretty insane how well it controlled. It was like Q3 arena lite.

Sakurai is quite dependant on nintendo for his game dev career. Even if he didn't really want to make perpetual smash sequels, he'd do it anyway because that's what nintendo wants from him.
He also directed multiple Kirby games before deciding he didn't want to do anymore. So it's never been a hardline stance against any sequels at all. But a kid icarus sequel isn't up to him. It's clear that at least up to now nintendo hasn't had any interest in it.

I used to think this, but I've come around to the idea. Splatoon on max sensitivity makes for an even faster paced game than KIU on 9.0. Stick for controlling the camera with gyro for the cursor would work fine.

This is one of the better localizations to come out with characters getting dialogue living up to their flamboyant designs. Japanese is very direct when translated and loses a lot of the nuance and inside jokes used in their pronunciation so it often takes very skilled localization to properly interpret or replace it for western audiences.
