I think its kinda sad that the main argument for owning consoles used to be all the amazing exclusives and now the only arguments left are
A) Consoles are cheaper than a gaming PC (But only if you ignore having to pay to play for online and having to buy a low/mid range PC for most other stuff anyway)
B) PC ports are bad so its better to play on consoles (Even subpar PC ports still run better than console versions people just have higher standards on PC so people will complain when a game dips from 60-45 fps but console users wont notice a dip from 60- 30 fps.)

i reckon there is absolutely a good argument to be made that consoles could easily continue to be justified by being a more affordable, easier-to-use option than PC faggotry, but for some reason microsoft and sony seem dead-set on making their consoles basically just mediocre PCs with none of the additional features
this is to say i think that console manufacturers should straight up just make cheaper consoles and encourage smaller-scale releases rather than splurging hundreds of millions of dollars on this week's failed shartnite clone. you don't even have to do the whole "input gimmick" thing, just having a simple, affordable box that plays good, affordable games would bring in millions

Yea consoles are only 500$+Tip and only 80$ a year for online and we only get occasional frame dips below 30 fps and dynamic resolution dips below 720p but who cares becouse the human eye cant see past 24 fps which is the most cinematic movie frame-rate anyway so its the best frame-rate.

Cant wait to play the new GTA and drive cars and shoot people. Name one other game that lets me drive cars and shoot people.

Spider-man 2 runs at 120 fps and ray-tracing on my 1600$ pc.
I still dont get where console players get the 3000$ number. Consoles have a 200$ (300-400$ in the pro versions) tier GPU inside them and most people wont spend more than 600$ on a PC GPU.

C) Physical releases

Which are getting more important for me with my garbage internet. I don't play multiplayer garbage so I don't have to worry about 50% of the disc's contents being obsolete with a month-2 update.
