A girl I like is struggling financially and I don't know what to say, I don't see how to fix that problem without taking full care of her or setting a precedent, and I have 0 reason to give a shit because she's a grown ass woman that shouldn't be picking up stray dogs or living in the bumfucknowhere part of the city that also is expensive as shit, she's convinced me to work together before and I don't want to learn or do shit for her, especially because one time she got pissed and treated me like shit, I already told you I'm an autist.

doesn't really do much for the lower back. I usually remedy my pain by doing deadlifts and hamstring curls. I'm not sure if the hamstring work does anything, but I read weak hamstrings can cause back pain and it can't hurt to strengthen them.
funny how banding over to pick up 20 pound boxes all day fucks my back and to fix it i have to lift hundreds of pounds a few times for a couple weeks.

I don't really know but if I have to guess from personal experience; no strenuous exercise, no tobacco or alcohol, keep slop to a minimum. Posture? Never thought much about it. I have started to theorize now though that people these days exercise too much or too hard and that is what hurts them later in life, they wear out their bodies too fast, there must be a reason why most athletes have to retire in their late 20's.
I have 2 friends who were avid lifters, both of them developed spinal prolapse in their late 20's, for one of them it's so bad he can't have a normal job anymore

most 10 dollar a month box gyms have assisted dip/pullup machines, they are one of the more common machines and are great for beginners

no one will care that you use them because you cant do body weight yet. most people who go to the gym that would judge others there are too vain to pay attention to anyone weaker than them, they just look at people stronger than them and get pissy and snippy and competitive like a woman and are 100% beneath your contempt or caring what they think about literally anything, in fact you would be morally justified to run them over in the parking lot.

>Humanity's effect on the planet's ecosystem has increased exponentially over the past millennia. In the last century alone, the Earth has experienced a one sixth reduction in it's forests (Ritchie, 2021).There is an estimated 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean. "The ocean looks like it is clear blue water, then, the scientists drop a net into the water. When they pull it up, thousands of pieces of plastic come with it.” (Penn, n.d.). Air pollution is now the second leading risk factor for death, accounting for around 7 to 8.1 million deaths annually (stateofglobalair.org, n.d.).

Not making as much now but my suicidal thoughts and depression immediately left me as soon as I left wally world. Weird how that works.

The latter is required. I have no one to rely on in life and I was already homeless during my "best years" in the mid 1990s and dont want them ever coming back!

Covid was one of the busiest working times of my life. 70+ hour workweeks, was hailed as a "hero" and an "essential worker". Thats laughable to look back on.

Bad posture. Your muscles are shortened, so you're 24/7 tensed up where you shouldn't be. Do the most basic stretching excersises and you can fix it in a month.

I herniated a disc, I presume at the gym but got an mri and met with a doc about it. He said it was minor but even so I've still had on and off pain for like a year from it. I'm in my mid 20s, it's over.

For me it was like a 7 for a month, then got slowly better but squatting down to change my tire last week (didn't even lift anything really) caused a flare up. Gotta be careful. My doctor didn't really say to avoid lifting and doing squats/deadlifts at all, but to do more core work to stabilize.
Now outside of the flare up I only get some pain when I lay in bed an extended period of time.
I basically gave up squats, barbell rows, deadlifts and now only do Bulgarian split squats and chest supported rows. Haven't found a substitute for deadlifts yet though

Nah I got another job working remotely for an ankle monitor company, I basically check in on people on house arrest. Still making more than a TL starting wage so I'll take it, and a big reason I left Walmart was because I looked at our yearly bonus that year and realized a few of my tenured TLs were making more than me. Not that they didn't deserve it, they were all good and had the same amount of years under their belt as you, but I was working 10+ more hours than them every week and relied heavily on that bonus to justify it.

Pretty insulting when the guy working for you is making the same or slightly more than you do. So I bounced and I don't regret it one bit.

NTA.
>gym
Waste of money and time. The equipment you need to get fit and stay healthy costs a fraction of the subscription to a gym and is one-time purchase. Callisthenics and bicycling/running is all you need -- most excersises you do in a gym isolate and thus build dysfunctional muscles. Besides that: if you excersise without stretching (any beginner should dedicate the first month to stretching excersises) you are risking injury and permanent damage. There is absolute no benefit, none at all, to building muscles without restoring mobility/flexibility/stability -- you are just amassing dysfunctional muscles that your body cannot sustain and reduce your range of motion.
Look into the excersise 'shoulder pass-over/pass-through', whatever it's called in english. Don't overdo it, stop when it's uncomfortable. If you can't move through the entire range, then you either have or will get back problems -- and you most certainly suffer at the very least kyphosis.

What is it with people not understanding interest? Subscription and other installment are just that: interest. You're paying indefinitely, many times more than you'd do if you just purchased equipment.
The pool is a toss: you'd find better offers, I am sure.

My take is overall health.
If your standard body is healthy, your body has nothing to focus but challenging gravity.
But take any flue you had: the flue isn't making you "weak", there are no flue that attacks your muscles, it's your body diverting all power towards the immune system.
It's like that, but on the span of your life.

I am in the trades, and it fucking matters what you pick. I am in a piping shop as the only refrigeration fitter, so the heaviest stuff I deal with is 1 5/8” ACR copper, but 90% of what I use is no larger than 5/8” ACR copper. I watch the fucking carbon steel guys killing themselves moving and dealing with 36”+ CS pipe. Flanges that weight 500lbs which they have picked up with a chain fall on a gantry but they are still having to lean into things to try and get into place while also getting their MIG gun for tacks and all sorts of other bullshit. Injuries happen all the fucking time for them.

We get paid exactly the same(union, $76/hr + 42/hr benefits) but they kill themselves while the most I have to do is take a knee for 5mins every few days to better see what I am doing

It’s honestly crazy to me

>Humanity's effect on the planet's ecosystem has increased exponentially over the past millennia. The effect is detrimental to many forms of life on the planet. In the last century alone, the Earth has experienced a one sixth reduction in it's forests (Ritchie, 2021). There is an estimated 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean. This is illustrated by the following quote by Emily Penn, founder of eXXpedition, a not for profit ocean pollution research organization.

>These impacts and others like them have clear negative impacts on everyone's well being. They reduce bio diversity by driving species to extinction through habitat loss and pollution. They destroy the natural splendor of nature, limiting the amount and diversity of beauty that can be appreciated by humans. They even directly cause health problems and may one day even make the Earth wholly inhospitable to future generations. It's easy to be ignorant of the effects some industries have on the planet but that would be egregiously putting some short term benefits above long term gains, potentially all long term gains.

This has a solid C- written all over it right?
