The game was a technical mess. A lot of people deferred to emulators as the cause of the memory leaks only to be rendered silent when it turned out the memory leaks were systemic. Also I played the game on Switch and it was still bad. And you can't use hardware as an excuse when there are games that both look and run better

Just because there's a lot to see doesn't mean there's much to find. There's still a lack of discovery in that world

The open world becomes miserable when you realize gyms don't scale with your progress. So if you got strong enough to beat Gym 5, then Gyms 1 through 4 suddenly become jokes. In a series that already has problems with properly challenging the player.

And this is me going by memory, I'm sure if I played it again I'd find more
