I NEVER care about remakes, lmao.

Yes but I'm disappointed at how they're trying to make an autistically faithful 1:1 remake.

I wanted new content. New missions. New cutscenes. Maybe the story could take on a new direction and set up room for a new MGS trilogy, same way RE or FF are doing it.

And yes I know I am in the minority here. But what is the point of a 1:1 remake if I can just play the original?

I honestly did not like the jungle setting at the time. But it feels better with the graphical updates. Since I didnt appreciate it the first time, its like second chance to play a 10/10 game. Plus with so much slop out, I always support real games.

Woah there I'm not referring to any of their new shit but you can't just disrespect the Konami which produced the likes of Gradius, Twinbee, Contra, Turtles in Time, Lethal Enforcers, Road Rage, Symphony of the Night, Tokimeki Memorial, Goemon etc for decades. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, Konami meant quality. Metal Gear and Silent Hill were just more additions to the pile.

No. I genuinely did not enjoy MGS3 at all, and in general I don't really like the prequel lore for MGS. Some exceptions here and there, but I wish the series had just stayed contemporary with futuristic elements. Also, Huey did nothing wrong.

Yeah. It looks like the best way to play MGS3 moving forward, and the multiplayer is a nice bonus. I like these remakes that just keep the game playing largely exactly the same but make it look retardo good

Nope. Love mgs3 but this "remake" is just a remaster. Its not a new game like the resident evil remakes or the sh2 remake or ff7 remake. Its just like the Oblivion Remaster or the Metroid Prime Remaster. I have no interest in replaying exact same games again but will play actual remakes that are new games.

It plays differently. I mean that’s about as good as it should get. Writing is probably the strongest point of MGS3 so anything changed or added will only detract from it. I can understand new areas, but without any added context to it. It’s pointless padding. I do think like a VR mode would be cool though

Its almost the exact same game but on UE5, what is there to be excited about? With that said I hope it does well since Metal Gear's future hinges on it and hopefully it this project will train the team well enough to make original MG games

I'll end up getting a PS 5 for this and RE9. Though I wish that Konami had added more areas to the original, like enhancing the river section. Maybe give you access to a small boat so you could infiltrate tributaries and supply bases, ect.
