I know what you mean, the ongoing story added a lot to the Emerald Sword Saga and The Dark Secret Saga albums. Gave em a lot of personality as well. I still did like the more melancholic tone of the last two albums with Lione, still had some real bangers in there.
As for the new band under Staropoli and The Nephilim's Empire Saga, the first two albums are pretty decent, but they aren't as good as the albums under Lione. I didn't like their most recent album as much, something just feels agressively mediocre about it.
