Consoles as a whole stopped being relevant in the 2000s when they were completely overtaken by home computers.
Consoles routinely got the worst versions of games, but with home consoles being the most overmarketed slop, those worst versions also got some of the most exposure, causing a gradual downturn.
I suppose I would delete Xbox, simply because it's the console that hurt PC gaymen the most by trying to encroach on its various genres while pushing bad APIs. Without Xbox, Sony may have even cleaved even harder to Nintendo and burnt out.

The persistence of home consoles killed gaming.
The stagnation in 7th gen was massive with companies almost completely dropping the practice of developing a "good version" of a game for PC before porting it to consoles, instead releasing a broken PC port based on the Xbox version.
It was a massive race to the bottom to find the cheapest way to make games that could still reliably hit a large imaginary audience willing to spend a lot of money on the game. It's the kind of magical thinking that has persisted into the current post-2016 "woke" era.

PS5 Pro is easy winner. 5Pro in performance mode is equivalent of PS5's quality mode. So you basically get 60 fps with same quality that would be 30fps on regular ps5. Some could argue that the asymetrical controller of xbox is better though, since most games today are played with sticks, and having left stick at same left as the face button gives an advantage for asymetrical, whilst symmetrical has advantage on d-pad games, and maybe some racing games where you don't press the facebuttons so often (relying more on different triggers instead, for clutch/handbrake/gearchanges)

I play objective based team shooters. Modern Call of duty and battlefield games don't hold my interest, because they're more of a "lets team up" then it's actually every man for himself team deathmatch, and not actually playing the objectives. Old BF games used to excel at objectives, and because it's hard to find such games at this day and age, Splatoon 3 is best compromise.

Nintendo made bananza, and Ubisoft zelda which finally became good with swatch 2, there's actually interesting games on nintendo library. On sony library it's mostly cinematic "press X to skip" and "pretend you won" libraries, only games on PS I'd love to have is GT7 and maybe Helldivers 2 , Sony is more of a multiplay console for which it's actually pretty good but it doesn't really have that many "great" games anymore

Delete Xbox. PS5 isn't doing well but they can bounce back. Xbox's whole business model is totally fucked. The writing's on the wall. Once you start splitting your flagship hardware into different little bite sized pieces it means you know it's no longer profitable by itself.

I actually think PS3/2 Sony could be arguable as well, I know people love to say Xbox was a cause of the decline during the late 2000s heading into the 2010s, but holy shit, go look at how many studios PlayStation shut down in the late 2000s/10s. Even during the PS2 they were making retarded decisions, and it seems like they've gone full retard once again.

Xbox isn't much different. The only reason why I don't immediately default to choosing Xbox is that without Xbox the PC and Windows would massively suffer, DirectX would go nowhere without it. Xbox also literally put the reaper of Midway in charge of their division, who the fuck thought that was a good idea?
