It's not for everyone, a lot of the puzzles are incredibly obtuse to the point that the game is best played by having a friend that can give you hints or as a community effort (some dude who attempted to beat the game solo took over 250 hours), and the lack of air control can be seen as "clunky" or whatever.
The best way to do it is to write down every single thing you scan using Obsidian and connect them via tags/hotlinks.

The original is fun, no doubt, but 2’s randomization for the layouts makes it so much fun. Too bad there’s not nearly as much variety in the cave segments, those are pretty dry. I want another Campanella game so badly now.

Campanella 2 sucks by virtue of the sage path for the true final boss making the game very linear and removing any interesting player choices

Geometry Wars was probably my first love. Been a ton since then. But Baba Is You is probably the most ludo

Not them, but I think a big part of why it works is because it's 50 shorter games that know when to end. For most of the games, you can boot them up, have a great time learning the mechanics, put some time into mastering it if you want, then move on to something completely different.
Plus, chasing the achievements is fun. It's like being back on Kongregate in the late 2000's.

Heyy, my ufo 50 thread. Yeah so I tapped out to this game again at around like 35/50 games beaten and about half cherried. I tried to get a lot better at action games and I can't even beat a few of them in this pack.
I just can't believe how much game I got out of this. Like 300 hours. The strategy ones like Bug Hunter and Avianos are great. A few feel legitimately old like Planet Zoldath, Night Manor and Mortol, I had a blast with those. Several grew on me, like Fist Hell, Magic Garden, even Block Koala.
There's meaty little games in here like Valbrace and Campanella 2 that have decent replayability, and lots of small ones that are fun to pick up and play, basically perfect, like Velgress, Campanella.

Here are the last 5 games I finished with my own ranking and I would play all of them rather than a game in UFO50 which I tried out but just didn't enjoy.

Tamamayu Monogatari 5/10
Gothic 1 + 2 (counting as one game because they are a combined experience) 9/10
Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 6.5/10
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 6/10 but only because I can't see the classic Tony Hawk formula any longer.

oh god, the countless flash games online that managed to captivate me more than whatever brand new vidya i had. shit, things like custom maps in starcraft were impressive.
there was such confusion in my mind when the initial 'indie' craze took off and pretended like a few decent platformers were the second coming of mario. i knew full well random people could make fantastic games and it shocked me that the overall gaming media seemed unaware indie game development existed until it was on an xbox 360
