Every "best games of all time" list is the exact same because it's basically objective what the best games ever made are, especially when you have a top 100 over a top 10 so there's way more room to include every game widely considered the best.

No it's purely hype-driven like most things people consoom. People see a top 100 list play only those games think they are good, then make their own top 100 list with only those games because that is all they played, they aren't even aware other games exist or simply assume they must be shit because they never heard of them. And most of this goes all the way back to the marketing budgets when these games were first release.
