I usually just put up with it for the girls and story. Once I've reached the point where I've cleared all the content available I usually lose interest and stop playing. Nobody likes dailies and if anyone says they do they're lying.

Story ended with Vol F unironically, everything else beyond that point is just beating a dead horse. The original devs and artists left, and so did their vision for the game.

I remember saying at the time that this entire event felt like the game and story blowing it's load way too early. Vol F was one of the biggest jumped the shark moments I ever seen. Guess the OG devs knew they were done.

Fast forward a year and even players started to agree Vol F felt overly convoluted, especially with Himari throwing made up technical jargon word salad.

I wanted to clear FGO for 1000 SQ so i could roll for Passion lip summer, but honestly it's a fucking slog.

Should have put the Robot Lizs front... I'm sure some game designer is sitting there smugly because i couldn't 2 turn his shit mob with Melt one of the better ST alter egos.
I honestly don't even hate taking Mash to battlefield anymore, i just wish she was forcefully put into my team because on my own i would never fucking bother putting her in because surprise surprise she is defensive servant. No i haven't unlocked her Paladin mode yet.
BA on other hand is still relatively fun for me. Mostly because i can skip on contents i already cleared. So it doesn't feel like a chore to farm out stuffs.
I'm kinda considering dropping HSR and ZZZ too. It was fun in the beginning, but if i don't get new character it's almost pointless farming stuffs. Which wouldn't be an actual issue, if i could just swipe the stages.

Rabbit of Caerbannog chapter 2 is still amazing, and so is Decagrammaton chapter 2.
Still gotta go through Abydos chapter 3 and Hyakkaryoran, but I've had no issues so far.
Issue, I think, is a matter of people being unable to cope with shit slowing after a peak. Vol F was a blow out of 3 different storylines that were built up for years. Everyone probably just wanted more escalation but that's not how games like these go.
Heck pretty sure if Abydos chapter 3 is gonna suck precisely because it'll try and escalate when it shouldn't, given what I've been spoiled on the issue. Caerbannog chapter 2 and Ex chapter 2 were both the exact perfect stakes for what they're meant to be
What I hope is that the build up resumes. Like for example I fully expect a Caerbannog chapter 3 to escalate the story same way that Eden Treaty 3 and 4 did for that story.

I think a few gacha are actually fine games, though obviously I get peoples issues with them. I think FGO is a neat RPG focused on team synergy (once you actually get enough units for there to be variety in that). I think Arknights is a cool evolution of the tower defense concept, etc. I even think Genshin is a legitimately fun open world game with cool atmosphere and nice production value.

That said you have to also accept that the game design of these is essentially a glorified make number bigger simulator ala Cookie Clicker, which I also understand is something a lot of people bounce off. I think there is an appeal to having a low intensity game built for long term progress though.

All that said, I end up bouncing off every gacha eventually. HSR I dropped after a year (lost interest when Amphoreus started because I knew it would just drop all the current story to focus on a whole new cast). Arknights and Umamusume are cool but I fell off both because dailies asked too much of you to do every day (some events in Uma wanting a full career playthrough every day is very annoying).

The one exception I stick with (despite its flaws) is FGO thanks to my investment in the story and the fact it meshes well most well with how I want these games to be (minimal/non-existent dailies, fairly mindless turn-based grind). It's comfy in the same way shiny hunting in Pokemon is comfy, IMO. All that and I've come to appreciate its variety in character designs.
