It has some real faults with the dungeon crawling that make the game sort of mediocre. At it's best it's like a 3/5.

Ever Oasis is better for solo. Fantasy Life if you have coop bros.

It leans a bit too hard into the whole metroidvania style

gimmick since it leads to a lot of backtracking and revisiting old places. It was sort of fun for a bit to do that but there's so many unlocks.

A bit repetitive and grindy but fun.
I was mostly sold on the setting and character design. OST is amazing as well.

I liked it a lot but unfortunately you have to pick two of story progression, pushing dungeons for materials, and managing your town and festivals. I ended up focusing on the latter two and got bored because I'd have to do content I was extremely overlevelled for and fuck up my whole supply chain to do the story.

10/10 visuals
4/10 gameplay

It's boring.
