This game is amazing
People have no notion of how well made and advanced this game is.

What arguments do you have to give it less than 10/10?

There are a few spotty moments with its presentation at times, but that's me nitpicking.
Otherwise, yeah, I'd still give it a 10/10.

idk man the first section kinda sucks. not sure why they saw that their game was only popular for the 10/10 boss fights and then decided to make more extended sections with their signature sterile level design.

That I played Salt and Sanctuary and know what a genuinely good soulslike looks like.
This is just another derivative clone that misses the point.

>cant jump
>clunky combat
>hitting walls cuz the corridors are too small
>big weapons and medium weapons suck badly with the combat and have no real perks
Dont get me wrong the small details like the loading screen and choices were great and the boss fights are nice too and it is distinguishable enough, but that just makes it decent. Personally rate games like Thymesia nail the combat perfectly, but are low budget in everything else far higher than a game that does everything decently only.

Coming back to the game I actually can't believe this shit
the reason it works in souls at least I M O is that you have a bunch of different attacks and an entire ass 2H moveset you can switch to. Lies of P doesn't even have unique rolling or heavy animations

>no character creation
>clunky and unbalanced game
>poorly made asian character designs
>basically no environment variety
>retarded storyline
>essentially no build variety

Great OST though. Otherwise whatever.

movement felt clunky and levels felt boring so i dropped it in the first area

Just beat it for the first time, love me gunblade, over all it was fun and I enjoyed it but the giant bosses were ass so hopefully less of those and more learning from Victor for the Lies of D or whatever it will be called.

Going to leave it for awhile before I come back to NG+ and finish platinuming the game.

Definitely nowhere close to a 10 lol cmon anon. It's a solid 8.5. The story is just kinda there and there's nothing that really blows you away. It's a great game with solid gameplay apart from the over-reliance on two-phase bosses.

There's a lot to like about LoP but calling it a 10/10 is too far

Its got absolutely dogshit level design and repetitive, bland mob enemy design.
Its also barely an RPG, you don't have any real variety in how you can play the game because they took cues from Bloodborne.
It lacks any real iconography besides the kpop twink protag and pinocchio. Bloodborne has the saw cleaver and blunderbuss, and melds victorian gothic with lovecraft cosmic horror making a very distinctly haunting atmosphere.
It took the parry centered design of sekiro but artistically and thematically doesnt fit the setting at all. Sekiro was centered around parrying and the posture system because Wolf is a shinobi trained and bred to kill in one decisive fatal blow. Rather than kill in a thousands cuts and slashes, he lands decisive blows by exploiting breaks in the enemy's posture.
LoP has parries.... just because.
Boss design also takes a hit because very little expression is allowed in them, you just have to parry. You can at least dodge in sekiro, and bosses even utilize the grapple hook and jump kicks, and shinobi tools with unique interactions.
Lies doesnt really do anything at all like that, because its a bizarra amalgam of from games. It completely steals the artistic theme from bloodborne, has the parrying from sekiro, but the movement is as limited as demons souls, while having worse level design than all of them at the same time.
