Forgotten Land suggests that Humans basically evaporated into a dream dimension via their tech and Dreamland is basically what their souls reformed into, along with all the creatures there.

My theory is it took that form because little girls had the strongest imagination, so the world basically took a form they'd conjure up, hence why the only humans there are Adeliene, and a few others taking other girl-ish forms like faeries. They turned everyone else into Waddle-dees and other childish creatures.

It would probably make more sense if it was children in general. They ascend into a dream dimension, children take over due to the stronger imagination, collectively turn the dimension into a bright, colorful where the boring adults are turned into silly little creatures and they inhabit the world... well living their dreams in "Dream Land". Adeline is literally the artist she wants to be, and brings her art to life, some girls become faeries and shit, boys become badass shit like Metaknight or other boyish bosses. Kids took over the dimension, which is why it's so childish.

I like Forgotten Land and i think that was the point but at the same time it kind of sucks that after SA they're just gonna be nothing more than cameos again, I think at least the 6 animal buddies could've showed up somewhere instead of it just being the RTDL cast yet again (even if this is the best Meta Knight has been in a role for a while). Even then it still feels like enemy-wise they still fell back on Dream Land citizens, I do not fucking believe for a second that the beast pack ONLY had Fleurina as a mid-boss rank in their army before the portals opened up.
Maybe I just don't like the setting either, it's at least slightly different where the ancient people just fucked off because they had all this cool shit instead of dying out but I am just sick and tired of post apocalyptic settings. I want to see Pop Star in 3D.

The likely answer is humans ascended into the dream realm that Popstar is in, and don't really have physical forms anymore, or if they do they take on the forms of the various creatures in the series, and Adeline probably just decided to take on the form of a human child (Possibly what she looked like before), probably to pursue her love of art and make friends.
