nah it's on-topic, just not about your flavor of soul vs soulless debate today. games having permanent debuffs is a valid mechanics discussion, especially when it feeds into wider design choices and difficulty scaling. go back to yelling about resolution settings or something.

how come nobody talks about the fact that all natural light and healthy lights look fine with astigmatism but only things like streetlights and certain types of LEDs look fucked

literal inborn ability to detect bullshit mania inducing lights vs lights that are good for your brain and mental state
it's proven that most modern lights cause ADHD like symptoms and insanity in people which is part of why people are crazier now than ever vs old style lightbulbs making people calmer and more rational

>am constrained to being only able to see directly out the center of my glasses, otherwise it's blurry and looks like a 3D movie without glasses
It's not fair

I wish I had the astigmatism eyes all the time instead of only when it's raining. It makes everything look cool. That said I can't think of any truly permanent debuffs in a game other than my subjective experience of curse in my blind dark souls playthrough where I got cursed like 5 times and didn't know which NPC cured it

This isnt how astigmatism works though
This is how dirty, scratched glasses work
Also how a dirty/scratched windscreen works

Astigmatism just means you see double, you dont see streaks of anything.

This isnt either how normal vision is like at night. If theres diffuse lighting around lights when you look at it you might have excess floaters or other shit blocking your vision

As soon as I was born I turned motion blur off. Most people donโ€™t realize that youโ€™re given a few moments to configure graphical settings at birth. Because theyโ€™re dumb babies. Thankfully I was built different
