There is not going to be an appeal from the lawsuit that Jobst lost.
Finally accepts that he did defame Billy Mitchell by, at the very least, implying that Billy played a part in Apollo Legend's suicide.
Admits his retraction on the Apollo Legend statement/connection was not sufficient and should have done better on that end by making a separate video instead of sticking it at the end of an unrelated video.
Admits he should have done better in clarifying that the lawsuit mainly focused on, the Apollo Legend issue, and not just saying that Billy was a cheater at video games.
Total debt to Billy is $990k AUD/$646k USD.
Filed for bankruptcy in November. Jobst has two properties, and his wife was able to purchase out his share of the properties from the bankruptcy trustee, which is completely legal/normal under Australian law and now untouchable as part of any recovery efforts.
Bankruptcies last 3 years in Australia, at the end of which all debts are discharged, including the lawsuit debt.
Billy paid $550k in legal fees and will receive around $150k AUD from Karl, so he lost $400k.
Karl offered to settle for $300k AUD which was refused by Billy, and led Karl to bankruptcy, which led to Billy getting less money.
Apparently Billy also does not own his home (his wife does) and took out a mortgage on it to file his lawsuit. Billy also possibly started a family with another woman while still married to someone else.
Billy finally admitted that there was, in fact, a second complaint that was sent to Karl, which was something he had claimed Karl was lying about to crowdfund. The second complaint was never formally filed, however.
