This is the exact same thing any of the LLMs build when you ask it to make a FPS game. The single thing propping up AI right now is that the majority of people are too stupid to understand what it's putting out. People see it generate code and go WOW IT'S OVER FOR TECH BROS, without knowing a single line of code and what it does.

The thing about AI is that it can approximate many things, but they're always smallscale and standalone. Nothing an AI makes can ever fit into a bigger picture organically because it literally can not comprehend the bigger picture; the tech just doesn't exist, even with this massive data centers. It was one thing when it was just generating assets that people put in their games, but the bigger in scale these projects get the less the AI will be able to keep things coherent. They won't be generating entire games. At best, it'll be plagiarized bits and pieces of other game engines haphazardly stitched together that may or may not work if there's a real person doing the stitching.

There's this mecha FPS made with AI art, and the biggest problem isn't the art, but that the dev doesn't know what he's doing.
The game is terrible. The crosshairs, for example, are in the center of the screen, like in every FPS, but the mecha's cockpit takes up half of the bottom of the screen. What would someone with common sense do? They would render the world a little higher than normal, so the crosshairs wouldn't be at the bottom of the cockpit, but more or less in the center, even if that's not the center of the screen. But AI gave a talentless retard the chance to make his game, and he didn't notice this serious problem that makes anyone with standards immediately see that the product is no good.
This is the problem with AI, ultimately. It lowers standards and lets morons in where they would previously have been filtered out.

Sora has been able to do 1 minute videos for a year and a half, did you forget about that?
And I've seen lots of them, even locally made. There was this paper earlier this year of multi-scene 1 minute clips which is even more interesting than just a full minute long video.
