Not the first time that the 44. mag gets shafted either. It's like they added it in but ran out of time to give it a signature unique. Most of the weapon types have at least one alternative to offset the default. Even the basegame variant only has a scope to slap on it while the repeater gets three mods and a brass finish.

It's so good. It's so close to being good. It's so shit and all it takes to make it good is using a mod to fix the fuckup in the code where for some reason it's more inaccurate than the service rifle, the LMG, and every single one-handed gun, and if you also use a mod to make addon perks apply to other addons weapons- e.g. getting the Grunt bonus- it fucks so fucking hard. It's like This Machine but more.
The traditional stock BAR should have been the normal gun you get from make-it machines and a pistol grip, short barrel Monitor should have been a unique

No one ever posts this in threads about the least satisfying vidya weapons. But they should.

Most of the automatic have that weird jittered firing rate but the LMG was the worst offender for it. That and 5.56 is meh compared to 5mm out of the ass carbine with the -10 DT with every shot. Comparatively the miniguns and gatling lasers are still quite good with their fire rates. Especially the one that chews through an entire box in the blink of an eye. The one that I never got a chance to properly try out was shoulder mounted 10mm. A legit design that gets overshadowed by the Red Glare in the same setting.

It's because the Trail Carbine's mods were just repurposed into the Brush Gun.
As is, the Trail Carbine is just an ok inbetween for the Repeater and Brush Gun. 8 round capacity, faster rate of fire than the BG, cheaper and more common ammo than .45-70 and has the niche of the scope which only the La Lounge Carabine has amongst the cowboy perk rifles and I doubt most players would ever kill or steal from Sterling to get that.

Assault carbines are more like autoguns if they were scaled properly. Caseless ammo that pierces by default. The closet you might get to a bolter is the Red Glare if you slowed it down by 25%. While adding an armor piercing variant to the rockets that pop the targets into a bloody mess upon death.

Rushing water gives 50% attack speed boost, not 25%, so pair it with Ain't Like That Now and it's 70% attack speed increase. For melee you should be getting Melee hacker (rank 2) which provides 10% attack speed boost and Slayer perk, which enhances attack speed by 30%. If you pair it all together, you end up with 210% melee/unarmed attack speed. Turbo/Implant GRX paired with Day Tripper and Chemist only makes it even more broken because you also end up having 8 seconds slo-mo.

shooting .50 bmg out of a shotgun is perfectly safe also because the barrel is the size of the cartridge, not the bullet

then the propellant gas exits the barrel faster than and around the bullet which gets neither properly accelerated nor stabilised
