Battlefield 3 had peak map design. Perfectly balanced between infantry and vehicles. BF6 maps look too infantry focused with vehicles squeezed in as an after thought. The ADHD cod movement doesn't help either.

The minimum requirements are not toasters now and they have shut out all the PS$/Xbox1 from 10 years ago. People with aimbots will just kill you instantly. They actually have to work against the aimbot to not kill you instantly. What I mean is, you're at a distance and they don't aim down sight. I played a match of 2042 to compare the two. TTK is the same (maybe slower in BF6 but that could be networking issues) but weapon handling and player movement is faster in BF6. I don’t think either direction is good or bad, it’s up to your personal preference. The UI is much less intrusive in 2042. The biggest proprietor of COD syndrome is the maps. Cairo is literally built like a COD map. In 2042 I played that snow map and I could scale anything, went up to a roof and started shooting bots from afar. Cairo’s roofs are blocked off but if you look at videos of people parkouring to them it looks like they were made to be traversable. I’m assuming Dice blocked access to them at some point in testing.
